Mr. Malwankar lives a small tenement in Grant Road, Bombay, with his son, Arjun, daughter, Sudha, and wife, Rukmini, who is his second wife, as his first wife passed away. Although he is well past his retirement age, he continues to work for an abusive employer, Ashok. Arjun's attempts at seeking employment are all in vain. One day when hoodlums are beating up a man, he intervenes, beats the hoodlums up with the help of half of his friends. This is when his life changes forever. One of his friends', Mohan, is killed; Arjun finds out who the killers are, and kills them in broad daylight; he is arrested, and subsequently released, only to be told by his father that he is no longer welcome. A politician, Shiv Kumar Chougule, takes a liking to Arjun and employs him, and gives him all the support and assistance he needs to fight hoodlums. Arjun now finds he has a mission in life, and is quite content...
Mirza – The Untold Story is based on the legendary love story of Mirza and Sahiba. Mirza is being played by Gippy Grewal and Sahiba is played by Mandy Takhar. Mirza and his Sahiba fall in love with each other at a very young age. However, one of her brother’s, Jeet (Rahul Dev) disapproves of their relationship and forcefully distances them apart. Mirza tries to fight for his beloved however his father intrudes fearing Mirza's safety. This film picks up 15 years later when Mirza and Sahiba return to the same home town where they once grew up together. Jeet, Sahiba's oldest brother, has become a major gang leader in the city nonetheless, he still maintains his family's honour. Mirza decides to infiltrate Jeet's gang. However the story takes a turn as Mirza meets Sahiba and their love flourishes once again. This leaves Mirza faced with his love and the hatred he has for her brothers to the point his battle becomes personal with his leader, Jeet who is far stronger in every aspect than Mirza. Sahiba was a virtuous beautiful soul who did not desire any bloodshed, knowing Jeet and Mirza are both men of strength. One will end up dead, however she has been sheltered from the real business of the family. Upon finding out she decides to find a way out from this dark sheltered life of her family by running away with Mirza.
Kolkata is abuzz with the preparations for the annual Durga Puja festival, as seven months pregnant Vidya Bagchi steps off the airplane from London. Her first stop is the local police station to file a missing person report. Weeks ago, her husband Arnab arrived in India for a job assignment. The first two weeks, they talked daily on the phone, and then without explanation his calls stopped. Everywhere Vidya turns, no one can remember Arnab; there is no trace of him at the guest house or his workplace. It is as if he never existed. But Vidya will not give up her search. Somewhere in Kolkata she will discover the dangerous truth.
The story opens in island Mandwa, near Maharashtra in the year 1977. The highly respected school master of the village, Master Deenanath Chauhan (Chetan Pandit), tries to dissuade the villagers from giving away their lands on lease to Kancha Cheena (Sanjay Dutt), the son of the village head who plans to start a drug mafia. In turn, Kancha falsely accusing Master of raping a student, executes him in full public view by hanging him to a banyan tree. This forces the master's 12-year old son Vijay and his mother Suhasini (Zarina Wahab) to flee the town and reach Mumbai, where his mother gives birth to a baby girl. In Mumbai the young Vijay sees Kancha and as events pan out, he becomes an accomplice of Kancha's enemy Rauf Lala (Rishi Kapoor). Vijay gains help and support from Lala to gain power.
